4th Annual Tree Canopy Action Summit

The 4th Annual Tree Canopy Action Summit was held May 4th at the Piedmont Natural Gas Conference Center.

The Summit featured Matthew Stephens, Director of Street Tree Planting- NYC Parks and Recreation.  He shared lessons from the New York City MillionTrees Campaign including long term care of the Urban Forest and the power of community engagement and collaboration.

Dave Cable, TreesCharlotte Executive Director, presented community participants’ collective goals, as they relate to Charlotte’s canopy target of 50% by 2050.
