University City, are you ready for some trees?! Thanks to our partnership with LendingTree, Charlotte 2020 Host Committee and 2020 Convention Planners, we are excited to bring our TreeStore to University City. In an effort to get more trees into less treed areas, we invite residents who live in the 28213, 28262, or 28269 zip codes to this Zip Code TreeStore! If you’re a resident of any of these zip codes, pre-register and help make University City one of the best-canopy’d communities in the Queen City.
Here’s what you need to know:
TreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this. A suggested donation of $20 is greatly appreciated and would help us give more trees to Charlotte residents.
Registration is required and will be open February 4 – 18. Deadline to register is midnight, February 18.
Registration does not guarantee you trees or tree varieties, however, it does get you a sneak peek (via email a few days before the event) of the varieties we hope to offer.
We expect to give out close to 300 trees on a first come, first served basis. Expect long lines as this will be a popular event.
Thank you to all our TreeMasters that have registered, we now have enough help and are only seeking a few volunteers to help direct traffic across the campus and distribute and load trees and mulch into participants’ cars. Register to volunteer below. Deadline to register to volunteer is Feb. 16.
