Do you have a young tree hugger yearning to explore the great outdoors this summer? Join TreesCharlotte and four other local environmental non-profits for Wild Carolina, a camp for nature enthusiasts.

This full-day, week-long camp is packed with adventure, hands-on education and fresh air led by educators from five organizations. Programming to include tree ID tag and crafts from TreesCharlotte, archery with Anne Close Springs Greenway, outdoor skills training with Catawba Lands Conservancy, bird handling with Carolina Raptor Center and water quality testing with the Catawba Riverkeeper.

The details:

  • Open to rising 5th and 6th graders
  • Week 1 is Aug. 2-6 at the Carolina Raptor Center, 6000 Sample Road, Huntersville. Register here for Week 1!
  • Week 2 is Aug. 9-13 at the Catawba Riverkeeper’s new Boathouse facility, 115 Willow Dr, McAdenville. Register here for Week 2!
  • Camp day is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • $250/week (additional charges for extended day)
