While TreesCharlotte strives to celebrate, expand, and protect the tree canopy in Charlotte, we also want to protect the health of our supporters, volunteers, and partners from risks associated with COVID-19. We appreciate your continued interest even in these difficult times. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering.
Having completed a NeighborWoods Application TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Citiside neighborhood to plant trees in their common areas and to provide trees to their residents. Volunteers, please scroll down for details.
We will conduct a drive-thru TreeStore at the large vacant lot in the Citiside community on Sat, Jan 23, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood.
Residents, here’s what you need to know:
Registration is now closed.
35 volunteers are needed Jan 23rd at 10am to help plant trees in the common areas and manage the TreeStore. Register early as our events “sell-out” quickly. 9 spots remain. (We now have all the TreeMasters we need)
Tree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure we operate within State and CDC guidelines, we are requiring a registration form for each volunteer, regardless of age. We cannot accept walk-up volunteers at the event. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Volunteer groups of 10 or more, please contact the events director, Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity.
Events are held rain or shine. Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event.
Deadline to register to volunteer is Tuesday, Jan 19.
