We are always looking for volunteers! To become a volunteer, complete the form on any event marked with a blue ribbon!
While TreesCharlotte strives to celebrate, expand, and protect the tree canopy in Charlotte, we also want to protect the health of our supporters, volunteers, and partners from risks associated with COVID-19. We appreciate your continued interest even in these difficult times. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering.
Having completed a NeighborWoods Application TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Beverly Crest neighborhood to plant trees in their common areas and to provide trees to their residents. Volunteers, please scroll down for details.
We will conduct a drive-thru TreeStore in the Beverly Crest pool parking lot on Sat, Nov 7, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood.
Residents, here’s what you need to know:
You’ll be able to choose from the following trees when you register (registration opens at 10am Oct 30). Quantities are limited. Register early to ensure the best selection.
Selections are final and once registered, cannot be changed. Be sure to research which tree will work best for your yard before registering.
15 volunteers are needed Nov 7 at 10am to help plant trees in the common areas and manage the TreeStore. Register early as our events “sell-out” quickly.
Tree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure we operate within State and CDC guidelines, we are requiring a registration form for each volunteer, regardless of age. We cannot accept walk-up volunteers at the event. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Volunteer groups of 10 or more, please contact the events director, Heike Biller to determine if there is enough capacity.
Events are held rain or shine. Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event.
Deadline to register to volunteer is Tuesday, Nov 3.
Thank you to all the TreeMasters that have signed up, we have enough help at this one and are recruiting general volunteers only at this point.
