Galilee Center Community Orchard Planting

November 7, 2020, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Mecklenburg County Health Department, the Galilee Center, and NC Cooperative Extension to plant fruit trees at the Galilee Center.  We are grateful for the generous support of the Morrison Family Foundation to make this project possible.

While TreesCharlotte strives to celebrate, expand, and protect the tree canopy in Charlotte, we also want to protect the health of our supporters, volunteers, and partners from risks associated with COVID-19.  We appreciate your continued interest in volunteering with us even in these difficult times. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering.

Volunteers Needed

We are recruiting 15 volunteers and 3 TreeMasters to help plant trees the morning of November 7.  0 spots remain and we now have all the TreeMaster we need!

Tree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure we operate within State and CDC guidelines, we are requiring a registration form for each volunteer, regardless of age. We cannot accept walk-up volunteers at the event. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Volunteer groups of 10 or more, please contact the events director, Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity.

Events are held rain or shine.  Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event.

Deadline to register to volunteer is Sunday, November 1.
