We are always looking for volunteers! To become a volunteer, complete the form on any event marked with a blue ribbon!
Having completed a NeighborWoods Application and thanks to our partnership with Lending Tree, Charlotte 2020 Host Committee and 2020 Convention Planners, TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with Bennington Place to plant trees in common areas and distribute free trees to homeowners in the neighborhood.
Pre-registration for trees is required by clicking here and is reserved for homeowners in Bennington Place only. Deadline to register is Wed, Jan. 15.
The tree give away portion of the day will run from 10:00-10:30.
Homeowners in Bennington Place are invited to come out, learn about trees and take one home to plant in their backyard. At the event, you will be trained on how to properly plant and care for your tree. You will then complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form and declare your pledge to take care of the tree we provide.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable event, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 35 to help plant trees. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly. 10 spots remaining.
Volunteer groups of 10 or more, please contact events director, Heike Biller to determine if there is enough capacity.
Tree planting events are great for families and everyone is welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts, please list all participants on the registration form, along with children’s ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Events are held rain or shine. A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions.
Deadline to register to volunteer is Tuesday, January 14. Thanks to all the TreeMasters that signed up, I now have enough help and am only looking for more volunteers to plant trees.
