#101 Virginia Pine (Pinus virginiana)
Located on Copperhead Island, part of the McDowell Nature Preserve, this Virginia Pine has a beautiful dual canopy and very large trunk circumference. If you take the trail to the island, the tree sits to the left of the paved path, close to the water.
