Little is known about the history of this tree, it achieved Treasure Tree status in 1992, but is now gone. It stood at the north side of the Queens Road and Granville Road intersection. The Willow Oak is one of the most popular trees around Charlotte. It’s a large member of the Oak family with Willow-like leaves. Foliage is bright to deep green in the summer and yellow/yellow-brown in the fall.
